JASMIN BAROS
I am a San Francisco native, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. I was born with a fierce desire to make sense of my surroundings and a deep, insatiable curiosity about absolutely everything, I have been disrupting the narrative since childhood. When most kids struggled to grasp complex math concepts, I enjoyed both problem solving and setting up processes to succeed.
Having worked as an Office Manager and Senior Bookkeeper for more than 25 years for a local construction union office, I was trained and ready to shake things up in the accounting industry.
Since 2010, I have been an entrepreneur with a passion for building and growing successful businesses. My entrepreneurial journey began by transforming a delivery truck into a mobile fashion boutique, which I operated on weekends. In 2019, I became co-owner of The Cake Queen & Coffee Bar, LLC, where I served through 2025. In my leadership role, I was responsible for financial planning, overseeing the construction and build-out of our facilities, managing ongoing maintenance projects, purchasing equipment, and handling the company’s monthly accounting. These experiences strengthened my expertise in business operations, financial management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.
In 2016, I took a bold step and founded JB Bookkeeping & Taxes. Together with my small, dedicated team, we work closely with numerous business owners to support their financial needs. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of treating our clients’ accounting and administrative tasks as if they were my own. This approach fosters trust and ensures that we deliver the personalized service and attention to detail that our clients deserve. We are committed to helping businesses thrive by providing tailored solutions that address their unique challenges.
I bring extensive experience in both business management and tax preparation, with a strong focus on helping businesses and individuals navigate complex tax matters. I specialize in business tax returns and am well versed in preparing a wide range of individual tax returns, including those for self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, retirees, and clients with more complex tax situations. I have extensive experience serving clients in a variety of industries, including nonprofit organizations, construction companies, service-based businesses such as barbers, hairstylists, and beauty professionals, as well as medical spas. My expertise allows me to identify valuable tax-saving opportunities while ensuring full compliance with federal and state tax laws, helping my clients maximize their financial success.
